Katable meal preps: Lambs lettuce and?

Hi-ya again! It’s time for another easy-peasy meal that can save you time and effort for a busy week! You might be wondering a salad? I thought so too! But guess what, one of my lovely friends, Kirsty introduced me to this salad which is apparently quite popular in Germany. I had no whatsoever expectations on this dish until I tried it and oh my, I’ve been craving for it since yesterday!

Lambs lettuce and? … whatever you like – from seafood to vegetables or even fruits! What an amazing way to taste different flavours feeling fresh every time you eat this!

 Preparation

  • 2 – 3 packets of Lambs lettuce
  • Croutons from 1-2 slices of stale bread
  • Vinaigrette salad dressing
  • Tomatoes/Feta/Avocado/pomegranate/Shrimp/Apple/Walnuts/Cucumber/Beetroot

Instructions

Choose what sides you want and prepare them. Wash the salad and make the croutons by cutting the bread into small cubes. Roast these in a hot frying pan until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a kitchen towel.

Arrange all the separate ingredients together on a plate. Put all the ingredients for the dressing together in a bowl or small jar. Shake or stir well to combine, taste and add seasoning where needed.

Sprinkle some of the dressing on top and enjoy the simplest and tastiest salad! Bonus: Prepare the lettuce and croutons in advance and add whatever ingredients you have as fresh sides to your liking! Can be kept refrigerated up to 2 - 3 days!

With Love from Kat ~
